John Brown

John Brown was crazy. He believed that God told him (just like many other people in history) to free the slaves. And he decided to go on a violent crusade he killed and chopped of the heads off of five slaveholders. As said before this guy was nuts. On October 16.1859, he led 21 men on a raid at the federal arsenal at Harpers ferry, Virginia. Within 36 hours of the attack most of Brown's men had been killed or captured. John Brown was latered captured himself and hanged. The meaning of this is that John Brown took a stand for something he belived in. He provided a spark before the Civil War started.
